This NEW Sulphur Soil is a natural soil acidifier that is ideal for preparing soil ready for lime hating plants such as rhododendrons, camellias and callunas. Many plants including roses, rhododendrons and camellias prefer acidic soil (5.5 to 6.5pH), so if your soil is greater than pH7 (alkaline) then an application of Sulphur Soil in the spring and autumn will lower the pH, so the plants can thrive. If the soils pH is unsuitable the plants leaves will yellow, do not flower well and can eventually die. Sulphur Soil reduces the alkalinity of any soil and its effects can last up to two years. Supplied as small chips, simply scatter around the plants at a rate of 56g per sqm TWICE a year in the Spring (Feb to May) and Autumn (Sept to Dec). Supplied in a 250g pack.
