These NEW SLOW RELEASE Ant Nematodes are encapsulated in small pellets, which means they LAST LONGER, they do NOT need to be refrigerated, you can use what you want and close the lid until the next time and are VERY easy to apply i.e. just shake them out over the surface of the compost – no need to dilute and water on. Ants nests in lawns and borders can be a real problem. Tackle them by applying SLOW RELEASE Ant Nematodes containing natural nematodes (steinernema feltiae) directly to the nests. SLOW RELEASE Ant Nematodes control ants of all colours (including red ones) in lawns and borders. The nematodes, which will infect and kill the larvae and will irritate the adults, so that they abandon the nest and disperse. These NEW SLOW RELEASE Ant Nematodes contain Steinernema Feltiae nematodes that are safe to use on food crops, safe for children, pets and wildlife and are very easy to apply. Supplied in a shaker tube, this pack contains 10 million nematodes and will treat up to 50 ants nests or 16 sqm. Ants nests in lawns and borders can be a real problem. Tackle them by applying SLOW RELEASE Ant Nematodes containing natural nematodes (steinernema feltiae) directly to the nests. SLOW RELEASE Ant Nematodes control ants of all colours (including red ones) in lawns and borders and should be applied when the ants are present and the soil temperature is above 10°C i.e anytime between April and October.

I dont know what I did wrong, followed the instructions really carefully but after two applications 11 days apart the ants are still there .

Thanks for the feedback and you do need to get the nematodes into the ants nests so make sure you water the nests first, then spike the nests i.e. push a garden fork into the centre of the nest and give it a wiggly. Now apply the nematodes. The nematodes are released once they are wet so if does not rain, water really well to release the nematodes and wash them into the nests. The pellets are deigned to release nematodes when it rains so if the weather is dry, water them every now and again. This process allows the nematodes to penetrate the nest and disperse the ants.
