Use Flea Beetle Nematodes to control Flea Beetle. This pest over-winters as an adult beetle hidden in the leaf litter before emerging in the spring. It then lays its eggs at the base of the plants. The larvae will attack the roots of the plants, but it is the adults that do the majority of the damage. The larvae will pupate and emerge as adult beetles in mid summer, so there are 2 generations of adults attacking plants by the end of summer. Apply Flea Beetle Nematodes TWICE at 2 weekly intervals anytime between April and late August to target when the larvae are active in the soil – May and late July are the peak times for Flea Beetle activity. Each sachet treats up to 25 sqm and we supply 2 sachets, which should be applied to the same area 2 weeks apart. As the eggs hatch over a period of time, this staggered application gives the best chance of targeting the larvae as they emerge.
