This Solitary Bee House have been designed to as attractive as possible to Solitary Bees to encourage them to nest in your garden PLUS in the base is a protected area where bee cocoons (that you have collected the previous year or bought from us) can be placed ready for hatching. Made exclusively for Green Gardener, this wall mountable, wooden Solitary Bee House is made in the UK from sustainable FSC timber and is fitted with approx 68 cardboard nesting tubes. By removing the tubes last years / purchased bee cocoons can be “tipped in” ready to emerge from the hole in the front once temperatures are warm enough. ALTERNATIVELY you can just individually push the cocoons through the escape hole. These solitary bees then return to lay their eggs inside the tubes and seal them with mud or chewed up vegetation, so it is easy to tell if it is being used. The following year the adults AND their offspring will use the same nest again building up the numbers of solitary bees visiting your garden each year.  Height 25cm/ width x 14cm, depth x 18.5cm.

The Ladybird House is an attractive, hand-crafted, wooden habitat for ladybirds and other beneficial insects, which has a central chamber filled with natural material, that provides a cosy place for them to bed down. Holes are drilled in an upward angle, so the ladybirds can reach this insulated and safe inner chamber. If necessary the roof panel may be removed for inspection or cleaning. Supplied with a mounting pole, it is designed to be free-standing. Position next to aphid infected plants, in a sheltered, warm spot away from prevailing winds in flower beds, rose or shrub borders or even in a planter on a terrace.
