I ordered a ladybird House which is very well made and looks lovely and also some weed mats as yet I have not used them but they are quite a big size so good value for money.

Prompt service. The ladybird larvae worked wonders on my black fly infested cucumber plant, which is now thriving. I love the ladybird house too. Very pleased with my purchases and service.

Nematodes from you to deal with vine weevil grubs have been useful over the years in dealing with what would otherwise here be a major pest in containers. The ladybird house was simple to put together, seems sturdy, and we hope will be a good addition to insect provision in the garden. Delivery time was good, & packaging sensible.

I bought the ladybird house about a year ago to deal with an aphid infestation, along with some ladybird larvae. The larvae made short work of the aphids, but I suspect most of the ladybirds just flew off to the surrounding areas.

However, I have not had an issue with aphids this year. Regardless of whether any ladybirds chose to inhabit the house, it must be a nice environment for insects, so I like it.

That said, it has deteriorated after only one year. No doubt the snow and repeated frosts and continuous wet weather in the winter of 2023 helped to break it down. The bark is coming off it and it’s looking worse for wear, but as a natural product (essentially a bit of wood with holes in it), I am sure it will continue to be a suitable home for insects for years until it completely breaks down.
