This NEW Inground Wormery is the easy way to deal with small amounts of kitchen waste. This 12 litre wormery is buried in your veg garden / flower bed / greenhouse and uses the power of worms and microorganisms to breakdown your waste turning it into wormcasts, while releasing the nutrients into the soil. As worms consume your kitchen scraps and garden waste, their digestion breaks down organic material into a dark, nutrient-rich humus called wormcasts that are rich in essential nutrients. These worm castings not only improve soil health but also increase water retention, reduce the need for chemical fertilisers, and promote healthier, more resilient plants. Simply chop up your kitchen, fruit and veg scraps and add it to your wormery and let the worms and microorganisms do the rest. Dimensions: 27 cm x 27 cm x 47 cm (Cylindrical).

This NEW Inground Wormery is installed directly into the soil and is designed for all-year-round use i.e. being buried in the soil protects to from the worst of the weather. This discreet and efficient system allows worms and microorganisms to thrive, but is odour-Free and is low maintenance i.e. once set up, the worms do not require any maintenance. This system is ideal for those with limited garden space, as the composter is buried underground, leaving the surface area clear for planting.

How does it work? When you are ready to start, bury your wormery in the ground. Simply add the soaked coir bedding and add the worms. Now you can start feeding your worms – add a small amount of kitchen waste to the wormery and leave the worms to settle in. Feed your worms small amounts of kitchen waste on a regular basis increasing the amount as the worms breed. There is no need to empty the wormery as the worms will “distribute” the composted contents into the surrounding soil.
