Many species of butterflies are becoming rare due to habitat loss. By providing them with shelter you can help stop their decline. This attractive Hanging Butterfly House is made from 15mm untreated Alder timber, which provide excellent insulation and features a hinged door in the front, that allows easy access to the central chamber.  It has a sloping roof with a over-hang to shed water and has a slatted front, which allows the butterflies and moths easy access. Add dry bark, straw, dry leaves or shredded paper to create a warm, sheltered home that non-migratory butterflies and beneficial insects will use to shelter from the winter weather. Designed to be wall-mounted, so position on a wall, tree or fence in a warm sheltered spot in the morning sun to help to replace lost butterfly breeding sites. Height 22cm x Width 13cm x Depth 16cm. 

• The Hanging Ladybird House is made from FSC timber, which is durable and will not require additional treatments.
