This Ceramic Bumblebee Pot is an attractive, ceramic bumblebee / mammal habitat made from frost resistant terracotta and is shaped like a traditional bee skep. It comes complete with a base to keep the nester dry and siting instructions. Bumblebees are one of the most important pollinators in the garden, but natural nesting sites can be hard to find, so this Bumblebee Pot offers an above ground nesting site. Simply fill with dry leaves, kapok, straw or pet bedding and pop in a spot that gets morning sun, which is protected from heavy rain.

The Ceramic Bumblebee Pot provides a dry and ventilated home for bumblebees that looks good in the garden and being frost-resistant it can be left in position all year round. The entrance hole is coloured blue as this is particularity attractive to bumble bees. Mini mammals such as voles and shrews, will also find it attractive, but don’t be disappointed if you get a mouse / vole or shrew starts nesting in it for the first year as bumblebees often seek out old mouse nests to nest in, so this will make it more attractive to bumblebees in the following years. The Ceramic Bumblebee Pot is boxed and comes with instructions for siting and use. Dimensions – H 20cm x W 19cm in diameter.

“I have been wanting a bumblebee house for ages and the one from Green Gardener is brilliant. Well designed and frost proof it arrived really promptly and can’t wait for Spring. I have also ordered ladybirds with a tower in the past and was thrilled to watch the larvae develop. I hope more people visit and use their website as nature needs everyone to be involved.”

We bought the solitary Bee houses & The Bumble Bee cone – beautiful products. And the copper tape keeps the snails away!

Lovely item and delivered on time.
Only thing is that all 4 ventilation holes are sealed up, so be prepared to use a drill. You can see where they should be.
I tried first not doing this, but it got wet inside.
Nothing wil thrive in those conditions.
