Hanging Ladybird House

This Hanging Ladybird House features a hinged door in the front, that allows easy access to the central chamber, which means it is ideal for releasing our live ladybirds into. It has a sloping roof with a over-hang to shed water and has a slatted front where the ladybirds can emerge from and will provide a safe haven for ladybirds to feed, breed and over-winter in. Featuring a central chamber that can be filled with straw, bark or dried leaves, it will provide shelter for ladybirds and lacewings. The Hanging Ladybird House is made from 15mm untreated Alder timber, which provide excellent insulation. The hinged door in the side means you can easily add your own ladybirds i.e. order adult ladybirds, lift the lid, tip them in & then watch as they emerge, etc to spread out to tackle the pest problems in your garden. The Ladybird Shelter is designed to be wall-mounted, so position on a wall, tree or fence amongst climbing plants, which are affected by aphids. Height 22cm x Width 13cm x Depth 16cm. N.B. This attractive wall hanging Ladybird Barn is made from timber and provides a perfect home for ladybirds and other beneficial insects. It features a hinged lid, that allows easy access to the central chamber, which means it is ideal for releasing our live ladybirds into i.e. tip ladybirds in when they are available. Featuring a central chamber, drilled holes and hollow canes, it will provide shelter for ladybirds PLUS lacewings, bees and even butterflies may use it as well.

This Ladybird Barn features a lid that opens into a central chamber – this is then filled with bedding material i.e. bark, straw, shredded paper or dried leaves / flower stems. The hinged lid means you can easily add your own ladybirds i.e. order adult ladybirds, lift the lid, tip them in & then watch as they spread out to tackle the pest problems in your garden. This house provides a well-insulated & cosy home for ladybirds & other beneficial insects PLUS it has drilled holes in the base AND hollow canes in the base for solitary bees such as Mason Bees or Leafcutter bees. The roof is painted with water based paint, while the timber is untreated with is best for insects, so it will change colour as it ages and weathers, but it can be left untreated or if you want you can use a water based wood stain. It is designed to be wall-mounted, so position on a wall, tree or fence where it will catch the morning or afternoon sun amongst climbing plants, which are affected by aphids.
