These small Fruit Fly Traps come in a pack of 2 and are simply positioned near where the flies are active i.e. near fruit bowls, sinks , fridges etc. Containing an attractant made out of a unique mix of natural ingredients it lures the fruit flies right into the trap. The trap has a sticky pad, so it can be freestanding or stuck to a surface i.e. to the side of a fridge and is fitted with a special funnel that allows the fles in, but they cannot get out and will soon drown. The trap consists of a small bottle, a funnel and a cap, made from recycled plastic. The packaging is made of recycled – and recyclable – unbleached carton. Supplied in a TWIN pack.

1. Top dressing indoor plant pots to prevent Sciarid Fly and prevent moisture loss. Great for cacti, succulents, terrariums and houseplants.
2. Use them outdoors as a mulch to supress weeds, retain moisture and as a natural slug deterrent – place a generous layer around the base of plants. A Large Bag (approx 11kg) will mulch approx 1/2 sqm.
3. Mix the shells into soil or compost to improve drainage and aeration.

Thrips will lay up to 100 eggs on the young leaves or in flower buds of plants. Once the eggs hatch the nymphs as well as the adults feed by sucking sap. The life cycle varies and is affected by temperature, but thrips in glasshouses can breed throughout the year. Thrips can also survive out of doors all year round, but become more of a problem during hot summers attacking garden plants in sheltered situations, especially Viburnum tinus. For complete control, these Traps and Lures can be used in conjunction with Thrip Nematodes / Amblyseius Cucumeris predators to target the larvae as well.

• Standard Packs of nematodes can be applied with a watering can fitted with a coarse rose (we recommend and sell the Fine as Rain no.14 rose) or with a hose-end feeder / EasyNem Applicator. It is much easier to apply nematodes to larger areas with with a EasyNem Applicator,  Hose-end Feeder / Nematode Applicator. N.B. The EasyNem Applicator and Hose-end Feeder are suitable for treating areas up to 200 sqm, but for larger jobs, we recommend using the Nematode Applicator i.e. for application to large lawns.
• For applying nematodes to larger areas i.e. over 200 sqm or for regular nematode application, use a Nematode Applicator.
  
• For larger Spraying Jobs i.e. for applying Nemasys Fruit and Vegetable Protection to hedges to control Box Tree Caterpillar, the 5 litre Rechargeable Sprayer is ideal.

Fine as Rain no.14 Rose – Watering cans need to be fitted with a coarse rose, which will allow the nematodes to flow easily. We recommend using the Haws Rose no.14, as not all roses are suitable – its large holes will not clog when applying nematodes.

EasyNem Applicator – Designed specifically for applying nematodes, this EasyNem Applicator makes applying nematodes much easier.  It attaches via standard hose-pipe connector – simply add the nematodes to the feeder bowl and water for 5-7 minutes – during this time the nematodes will be dispersed at the correct rate. The Applicator can also be used for applying liquid feed to plants and lawns – perfect for applying Root Success to help lawns recover from a pest attack.
