I recently purchased some flower pouches from you. I find them superior to hanging baskets. My method for best results is to fill the bottom of the pouch with compost and set the first two plants. I then take a 1.5″ diam. plastic pipe for length of pouch and cut some slots in the length about every 2″. I then fix pipe down back of pouch with cut outs facing the front. Complete the planting and water in top of pipe until it runs over. The slots make sure the water gets to all the plants. I plant trailing Apricot Shades Begonias and they give a great display.

Friendly efficient service. So far have used one hessian growing bag and the water granules– planted up with violas and really happy with the result. Other bags are intended for a spring planting.

I got four years out of my first set of these bags, and now I’m back for more. They make for a fantastic display of petunias along my fence, really brightening up a garden that’s minimal on flowerbed space, and so much better than buying plastic ones.

I didn’t want to replace rotted plastic flower pouch with more plastic so chose this hessian version. Delivery quick, and the bags are much more attractive, more rustic. I am struggling with water levels though. Even with laying the pouches flat for days I can’t stop water pooling in the bottom (probably happened in plastic version, it’s just much more apparent with fabric) and no control over rainwater when they are hanging. When filling another bag with soil I have created sections using slivers of slate in an attempt to slow the otherwise rapid descent of water – ok with shallow rooted plants – but it’s wait and see: hand watering does seem to take longer to percolate through though. Do recommend and I will buy again.

Tried everywhere to find flower pouches that would be strong enough and then found these hessian ones. They arrived promptly and now the first one is planted ready for the summer. So pleased to have found them.
