sounds good is this product safe to use on the pathways in a suds attenuation pond where swans are?

In reply to Mark. Thanks for the enquiry and it will kill the grass too, so you can use it spot weed weeds in the lawn i.e. spray individual dandelions but avoid general spraying as it will kill the grass as well. I hope this helps Jon @ Green Gardener

In reply to Liz. Thanks for the enquiry and you can re-seed 1 day after applying the weedkiller. The depth will depend on the seed used - normally you scatter the seed and then lightly cover with compost, Keeping the area moist is key to good germination. I hope this helps. Can I use this product to kill weeds and then sow grass seed after summer drought in France and how long to wait before sowing and depth of compost needed?

This is a great product and very pleased with it from an efficacy and environmental perspective (takes a few days to work, but it works). That said, the packaging is horrendous. Just put it in a normal bottle, I am begging you!

I have a question… we have planted a climate resilient dry garden into gravel. Some grass / dandelions etc are working their way through the hesian barrier and gravel. Would I be ok to spray just these without it affecting the new plants – I assume if I spray on a dry / non windy day then it will be ok and won’t travel through the ground to the plant roots?

Hi Jon, Really happy with this product. I just wondered if you knew whether it would be ok to spray where there are bulbs beneath the soil? Would it kill the bulbs? I have a garden bed where I work which only has bulbs in and now they have flowered and been cut back all remains is earth, but rather than having to weed the soil I was thinking of just using this. Please let me know what you think.

In reply to Lucia. Thanks for the message and it contains pelargonic acid and maleic acid hydrazide - both are natural. Pelargonic acid is also found naturally in pelargoniums and is a highly effective fatty acid widely used in the treatment of unwanted plants. Maleic acid hydrazide is an extremely old and well researched active ingredient. First produced in 1895, it has been used as a growth regulator. I hope this helps. Kind regards Jon @ Green Gardener
