I have bought ladybird larvae again this year to join the adults in the garden. Fantastic product with full information and guidance included. Easy to use website, prompt delivery and reasonable prices. Much prefer doing this than using chemicals and I can see the ladybirds working hard in the garden.

I was sceptical of this first, but last spring I had such an invasion of aphids that even the pesticides were barely helping... decided to try the ladybirds this year. Bought some larvae and put them in little paper bags on the rose bushes. The results were slow... but after 2 weeks I noticed that the number of aphids is decreasing. A month later I could not find a single aphid on the rose bush that was infected! In all this time, I only saw a single ladybird, I never saw the larvae at work (at some point I thought they didn't survive at all) but the results are stunning! Honestly, for the price and the effort required (just to put out the paper bags with the larvae), it is a bargain. And no pesticides needed!

I bought one of the ladybird hotels (wooden box) and ladybirds last summer and noticed an increase in ladybirds through the season and a marked reduction in aphids on my roses. However, was has been completely unexpected has been these last two weeks clearing last seasons brush and dead stems, which i left in place over winter. The number of ladybirds in that brush is amazing even in February. I must have found over a dozen nestling in amongst dead stems and old seed heads these last two weeks as well as three taking advantage of the central heating inside. Quite remarkable. Well recommended.

Thank you so very much. The first lot of lady bird larvae were spread around the garden in their brown bags. They cleared aphids from sunflowers and runner beans and then half of them cleared so many brown aphids on a new tree planted earlier this year and quite problematic. When I ordered the ladybird larvae there were no aphids on tree and I thought I would just spread them throughout garden. Then when I saw aphids I allocated 50 of them to sort the tree. The latest order is just to make sure all are cleared. It’s been lovely looking out for them. They have done a fabulous job and much nicer than using chemicals. I have feeders for spring too. It’s made me much more aware of the insects in the garden. Will definitely use again and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you

I ordered ladybird larvae and, although only 3 of them survived to adulthood (and eventually flew out the window!), they still made a noticeable dent in the aphid population. Of course, some aphids remained, so I hope the next batch will have a higher survival rate. Still, I find them a very effective and completely natural way to deal with these garden pests.

Always shop from the green gardener to purchase ladybird larvae in the spring time to help increase the population as my broad beans always get infested with blackfly even if I trim the tops. Look forward to seeing the process of new ladybirds and their offspring!

The ladybird larvae arrived on time, and were well packaged. The dispersal strategy was well explained and the little things have feasted on the aphids and I no longer have honeydew making the grass around the oaks sticky. Thank you.
