PM Powdery Mildew Spray is the organic treatment for Mildew and Botrytis - 2 of the most common fungal diseases of plants BOTH underglass and in the garden! Spray infected plants every 3 days to cure powdery mildew and botrytis or spray weekly as a preventative treatment.

Powdery Mildew - These fungi attack a range of plants in the summer, causing a white, dusty coating on leaves, stems and flowers. Many common edible and ornamental garden plants are affected including apple, blackcurrant, gooseberry (pictured right), grapes, courgettes, marrows, cucumbers, peas, delphiniums, phlox, honeysuckle, rhododendrons, azaleas and of course roses. There are many different types of mildew i.e. mildew that affects peas is different from the one attacking apples. Mildew starts as white, powdery patches on leaves, flowers and fruit. As the mildew infection increases leaves and stems will become stunted or distorted and shoots will eventually shrivel and die.

Botrytis - Botrytis is a very common disease, causing a fuzzy grey mould to grow on stems, leaves, flowers and fruit. It infects many plants, especially those grown under glass where conditions are humid. It is also a common disease of soft fruit, such as gooseberries, strawberries and grapes. It normally enters through a wound, but will infect healthy plants and can occur at any time of year. If conditions are humid then a fuzzy grey mould develops but in dryer conditions it may appear as discrete spots. Buds and flowers will shrivel and die, but on soft friut the infection can kill branches and on strawberries and grapes Botrytis leads to soft brown rot in ripening fruit. To identify, place the damaged leaves in a plastic bag with a little water in keep warm overnight and the fungus will grow rapidly producing a fluffy mass which is easy to identify.

PM Powdery Midlew Spray is based on essential oils and plant extracts. Use it to treat plants that are already infected or apply preventativelyspray infected plants (15ml per litre) every 3 days to cure powdery mildew and botrytis or spray weekly (10ml per litre) as a preventative treatment (this is a best approach). This spray is harmless to beneficial insects, bees etc. PLUS food is safe to pick and eat safely straightaway after use.
