Cat Repellent Rods - Cats are lovely, but there are parts of the garden where we don't want them to "go". This environmentally friendly cat repellent is based on citronella oil. The repellent has a pleasant smell to us, but to a cat "phew"!

Prikka Cat Strips - These strips are an effective way of deterring cats and intruders from climbing over walls and fences.

Prikka Cat Strips - consist of a triple row of pointed cones moulded from polypropylene, which are hard wearing and weather resistant. Simply fix to the top of walls, fences etc as a deterrent for both cats and intruders. Diatomaceous Earth (DE) - Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a very fine chemical free powder which is used in the same way as ant powder i.e. "squirt" the powder wherever there is any ant activity. The fine DE sticks to the insect and kills it by physical means. DE is safe to use in the garden, around edible crops, in areas where children play and is safe to use around pets. DE will not only control ants, but can also be used to control the following WITHOUT using chemicals :-

The DE is applied to where the insects live and / or move and will be picked up by the insect’s exoskeleton by static electricity i.e. squirt into the cracks of patios where ants are appearing from or rub into a dogs coat to control fleas / ticks. Insects will die from contact with DE within a few days.

Traditionally, moles have been controlled using scissor traps or  poison which are not suitable if you have children, pets and  and other wildlife. Controlling moles - Moles are one of the most destructive of garden pests and can cause havoc in lawns and flower beds. Often it is the best kept gardens that suffer the most, as the moles feed on worms which good gardeners encourage. Position solar molers and use mole repellent powder as soon as you see the tell tale signs to stop them ruining your lawn. Wetter weather leads to an increase in mole activity as the moles dig new tunnels to higher ground to escape flooded tunnels.

How to use them - Locate the moles' tunnel under a mole hill. Remove the lid from the mole smoke and light the fuse. Push the lit smoke down into the tunnel with the fused end pointing lengthways down the tunnel. Cover the hole gently with earth and make sure that the tunnels leading away from the mole hill are also well covered, so smoke does not leak out. Repeat as required using 1 smoke per 3 molehills.  N.B. The other way to stop moles is to drive away their food i.e. worms by lowering the pH of your lawn.  Apply Sulphur Lawn when worms are at their most active i.e. after periods of heavy rain i.e. NOW to lower the pH of your lawn, driving the worms away. Grazers - The effective and easy way to prevent damage caused by grazing rabbits, pigeons, geese and deer. Grazers is supplied as a liquid which is sprayed onto the foliage of any growing plant, where it is taken up by the plant making the foliage unpalatable to grazing animals. This nutrient based spray can be sprayed safely on ornamental plants, shrubs, bedding plants, fruit, vegetables and lawns. Developed for commercial horticulture, it has been successfully used by farmers and growers for years and is now available to the amateur gardener.

Grazers - As well as protecting the foliage, the nutrients in the spray help the plant heal itself and repair any damage already caused by grazing.
